Continental III 26.00 Raised Pilothouse – space and style
The all new Continental III 26.00 Raised Pilothouse made her international debut at the Düsseldorf Boat Show 2014 in the super yacht hall. The Continental III from Van der Valk is distinguished particularly by its unmistakable design that unites classical lines with modern elegance and endows the yacht with its typical appearance. Its main deck accommodates both the salon and dining area together with a spacious galley closable with a sliding element as well as the master cabin.
Space and style
The four guest cabins, all with their own en suite bathrooms, have modern appointments and stylish décor. The forward section is reserved for the three-man crew with two cabins, a galley and shower bathroom. Guido de Groot Design is responsible for both the yacht’s exterior and interior design. Several fine materials, like Moore & Giles™ leathers, solid Santos Mahogany floorings, white washed vertical grain oak walls and interior objects and Ultraleather™ ceilings, go beautifully synchronized and show a clear modern and sophisticated style. A professional Fohnn Audio™ sound system transforms both the saloon and the flybridge area to an exclusive private nightclub. The master stateroom is situated on the main deck in the front part of the yacht. The en suite bathroom with Bizazza™ Mosaics and Durat™ worktops perfectly fits with the style of the master stateroom.
Enlarged flybridge deck
Both the saloon/dining area and the owners residence are separated by a half-raised pilothouse. The main stairway grants access to the lower accommodation deck. The front part of the accommodation deck is especially designed for the accommodation of a three-man crew. The 2-cabin crew area offering fixed 3 berths and a spacious crew-mess with a kitchen and laundry area. The enlarged flybridge deck offers an outside helm position accompanied by a wet bar on port side and opposite a large L-shaped sofa which serves as both lounge and outside dining area. The rear section of the flybridge has been reserved for the 3 PWC’s (2 wave runners and 1 jet ski).
Easy manoeuvrability
Her advanced lightweight aluminium semi-displacement hull in combination with the revolutionary Volvo Penta IPS drive technology (triple Volvo Penta IPS-1200 D13-900, 6 cylinder engine) supplies extremely accurate steering behaviour and easy manoeuvrability. Moreover, at any speed, noise levels remain exceptionally low thanks to the underwater exhausts and shaft alignment elimination.
