Van der Valk recently received a new order for a 23.20-metre Flybridge yacht that will be a sister vessel to Grey Falcon. The modern classic interior of this beautiful new yacht is designed by Guido de Groot in partnership with Van der Valk.
The brief for the new boat, given build number WV 0118, calls for safety and solidity. This will be combined with the considerable power and manoeuvrability provided by her joystick-operated pod-type propulsion system driven by triple Volvo Penta IPS800 engines. Our yard now has a decade of experience with this revolutionary type of drive with counter-rotating forward-facing propellers.
Like Grey Falcon, WV0118 will have a timeless exterior style, with optimised freedom of movement on deck and lots of pleasant areas for al fresco relaxation at all times of day. With a substantial beam of 5.80 metres, WV0118 will have a large number of cabins for guests and crew, each of which will feature an ensuite bathroom. She is scheduled to be completed and delivered in 2018.
