MARCH 29TH, 2017
We have spent the last four days thoroughly enjoying the latest edition of our Experience Event. This annual open house is a great way for Van der Valk owners and potential clients to take a comprehensive look behind the scenes and see our latest projects under construction. This year marks half a century of operation for Van der Valk, and the quality of the work on display showcased how we’re building on our heritage while also looking very much to the future.
The many enthusiastic visitors to the Experience Event 2017 were treated to an up-close and personal tour of the yard. Highlights included the hull of the first yacht in the super-spacious new BeachClub line. Drinks and a buffet were provided, and visitors enjoyed relaxing music while wandering around at their leisure. The event was closed with an evening reception to celebrate Van der Valk’s golden jubilee.
Visitors were also invited to a viewing of the brand-new production hall. This new development will enable us to build motoryachts above forty metres in length with up to three decks. The roof and walls of the new hall were finished in time for the Experience Event and the rest is due for completion in the coming weeks.
Under construction and available for viewing were four Flybridge yachts (one 18, one 27 and two 23 metres), two 26-metre Raised Pilothouses, one 25-metre Explorer, four Aft Cabin yachts (one 15, one 19 and two 20 metres) and one 19-metre BeachClub 600. Visitors could also personally meet some of the creative minds behind these boats, including naval architect Jaron Ginton and the designers Guido de Groot and Cor de Rover.
Van der Valk would like to thank our staff and visitors for a smooth and successful event. We trust that the Experience Event proceeded to everyone’s satisfaction and look forward to sharing more on the exciting developments seen at the event as they approach completion.
